No, STILL no baby.
Ugggghhhh. I am officially past BOTH due dates and the end is no where is sight. I dread answering the phone--do people seriously think it's funny to tease someone who is OVER 40 weeks pregnant about still being there? Especially when they have been having contractions that haven't GONE anywhere?
I have decided to get on with life and pretend that I am still only 35 weeks pregnant. It just makes it easier. S. is going to make a sticker for me for Sunday that says, "Yes, I'm still here. I am ____ days overdue." Then maybe I won't end up in tears by the end of church.
I have to say thanks to S. for helping out with the kids a lot lately and for taking me out to restaurants to eat spicy food (no luck there).
Maybe this baby doesn't want to come because we haven't decided on a name yet. By the way--the poll is closed because it's past my due date. Girl won--S. cheated and voted 2 or 3 times for boy. We can't wait to see!!
BTW--I love how the babystrology ticker doesn't know what to do when you go over your due date. If you click on it it says I still have a week and three days to go, and then it also says I have three days to go.

I've tried to think of something genious to make you feel better or something to make you laugh at your current situation---but, I've got nothin'. ;)
Oh maann! I just can't believe it. I'm so sorry! From what I heard you had some good contractions from last Thursday through at least Monday...so I've been seriously thinking about you NONSTOP!!! Thanks for the update. Isn't the waiting game crazy? For weeks around the due date you feel like a volcano that could erupt at any moment...at least I do...so I'm sure that now being overdue, it's really not fun and super distracting! I wish you good luck! Since you are overdue...maybe you should post an overdue picture:) A Julie Overdue picture would adorable. Soo tiny EVERYWHERE...except your basketball belly:) btw...I think I was somewhat squishy this time from 22-27 or 28 weeks but then - not squishy! Last time for sure I wasn't squishy at all! So rude. Well I'll pray for you. Good luck when it comes time! I'm pretty sure your baby will know when is the right time:) LOVE YOU!
oh yea...we did join the mini van club...it was pretty much my Christmas present! I LOVE it...white Sienna. We got the 8th seat so now the boys are in the middle bucket type seats and then we'll switch and put them in the back when baby comes and baby in the middle...moved up a bit. It's so great.
Stairs maybe? Full moon? I don't know! Hang in there!
All our love,
Tasha and family
Dangit! Every time I link to your blog, I think I'll see baby pictures. Darn babies, never coming when we want. T was that way--contractions for a week every night and still nothing. Makes you exhausted, doesn't it?
Also, you're brave to go to church. If it were me, I'd stay home--not because I'd cry necessarily, but because something less than nice might come out of my mouth if someone made a comment. I am NOT a nice pregnant woman.
Man oh man. I hope you are on the way to the hospital as we speak. That is just no darn fun, Jules. I am so excited and envious of you guys. Maybe not so much the not sleeping and pain part envious, but NEW BABY ENVIOUS! And remember, in a couple of weeks, once you have gotten out of bed for th 7th time that night, you might just be wishing that the baby had stayed longer in the belly:) Either way, this one knows where mama is, and ain't gonna leave until nature forces him to:)
Hey Julie! I check your blog regularly hoping to find a new post about a new baby! Good luck to you and the rest of the fam.
Have sex. Lots and lots of sex. And work a 12hr shift in the Emergency Room. Worked for me when I was 8 days overdue! My mom swears by headstands and castor oil.
Just checking on baby status, because I don't think you have my email...make sure you let us know who your new little person is!
I can't wait to see pictures of Naomi!! Give us an update! When you have a second of course... :)
